Overview (General Description)
Habersham Metal Products acoustic door and frame assemblies are engineered for secure environments where sound control must work alongside high-performance opening constructions. Designed as commercial security hollow metal assemblies, these openings help reduce sound transmission while supporting the durability, reinforcement, and performance requirements of demanding facility applications. In addition to acoustical performance, these assemblies can support specialized project needs such as fire ratings, security reinforcement, and other compliance-driven requirements.
Product Details:
  • Acoustical Performance: Acoustical testing for this assembly is performed in accordance with ASTM E90 test methods in order to achieve a sound transmission class of STC 42-STC 55.
  • Commercial Security Hollow Metal Construction: Doors and frames are fabricated as heavy-duty hollow metal assemblies using steel face sheets and reinforced construction methods intended for high-performance commercial security applications.
  • Frame and Door Reinforcement: The assembly includes reinforced components designed to support performance requirements, including provisions for hardware, frame strength, and welded construction details where specified.
  • Specialized Opening Performance: In addition to acoustical control, the assembly may be specified to support RFI shielding attenuation and bullet resistance for projects with advanced security requirements.
