Overview (General Description)
Habersham’s acoustic window frame assemblies are designed for secure glazed openings that require sound control and hollow metal frame performance. Built around HMMA 862/866 commercial security hollow metal frame construction, these assemblies pair STC glazing options with coordinated frame profiles, glazing tape, sealants, spacers, and insulated frame conditions to support project specific acoustic requirements.

  • STC-Rated Window Frame System: Designed for STC 35–51 performance with glazing options, supporting secure openings where sound transmission control is a key project requirement.
  • Commercial Security Hollow Metal Construction: Frames are built as HMMA 862/866 commercial security hollow metal window frames using cold rolled or hot rolled steel, with integral stops, welded construction, mitered corners, and reinforced frame sections.
  • Acoustic Glazing Coordination: The assembly is designed around STC glazing panels, with glazing thickness, air gaps, spacers, and frame profiles coordinated to meet the required acoustic performance.
  • Glazing Tape + Sealant Requirements: Glazing tape and sealant are called out as necessary for performance, helping support the acoustic seal between the glazing system and hollow metal frame.
  • Thermal + Condensation Considerations: The glazing air gap and spacer are provided by the glazing manufacturer and sealed for thermal and condensation requirements, depending on the selected glazing package.
