Overview (General Description)
Habersham’s detention hollow metal door and frame assemblies are built for correctional, institutional, and secure facility openings that require strength, impact resistance, hardware integration, and long-term durability. Assemblies can be specified with fire-rated and/or bullet-resistant ratings where required by the door schedule. Habersham Metal builds our Detention units to meet the most demanding of Security requirements. Whether it is a minimum security or needing the highest of levels, Habersham has the proven product to fit your needs.

  • Reinforced Door Performance: Designed around Detention Performance testing standards for static load, rack load, impact, and edge crush performance.
  • Secure Frame Integration: Frames include continuously welded corner joints, security glass stop screws, cover plates, and unitized jamb-mounted lock preparation.
  • Vision System Protection: Detention hollow metal vision systems are designed for ASTM F1592 impact tested applications
  • Quality-Assured Manufacturing: Built to HMMA/NAAMM detention hollow metal standards, with quality system requirements and qualified welding documentation supporting consistent production.
  • Integrated Frame Features: Available with 1/4-20 Grade 8 Torx security fasteners, 3/4” EMT conduit and sweep elbows for control wiring, threaded mounting studs, lock nuts, and reinforced cover plate fastening.
