Overview (General Description)
Habersham’s combo wall, ceiling, and floor assemblies are designed for detention, correctional, and secure facility environments that require full-room protection. Built with steel-stiffened panel construction, these systems help convert or reinforce rooms, cells, and secure areas while supporting security, durability, and project-specific installation needs.
Product Details:
  • Security Wall Panel Construction: Steel-stiffened wall panels are designed in accordance with HMMA 863 security hollow metal specifications and built to support detention-grade vertical barrier performance.
  • Ceiling System Options: Ceiling assemblies are available as panel or deck-style systems, with fixed overhead horizontal barriers engineered to withstand project-specific structural loads and security requirements. The specification references both wall panel and upper-tier floor/ceiling system engineering.
  • Factory-Prepared Openings: Panels can be factory-prepared for junction boxes, electrical conduit, duct openings, pipe penetrations, grille preparations, lighting, wiring, and sprinkler head penetrations where required by the project drawings. Ceiling panels may include concealed conduit to J-boxes inside chases.
  • Fixture + Furniture Reinforcements: Assemblies can support factory-installed reinforcements for detention-room components such as bunks, lavatories, mirrors, coat hooks, desks, tables, windows, grilles, and other security fixtures.
  • Heavy-Gauge Panel Materials: Wall and ceiling panel face sheets are specified with 14-gauge minimum galvanized steel, with 12-gauge mounting channels and 12- or 10-gauge hanger angles/plates used where required by ceiling load conditions.
  • Sound Control Options: Wall assemblies may be tested with grout or factory-installed insulation, with referenced acoustic performance targets including STC and OITC ratings depending on the selected configuration.
